Mr. Chiaranussati has successfully led SC Capital Partners in its investments and provided key leadership and direction since its inception.
Prior to founding SC Capital Partners at the end of 2004, Mr. Chiaranussati spent approximately six years with Westbrook Partners, where he opened its Asia office in Singapore in early 1999 and served as Principal and Managing Director responsible for Asian investment activities. Prior to joining Westbrook, Mr. Chiaranussati spent seven years at JPMorgan, based in Singapore and covering Southeast Asia, serving as a Vice President in the Proprietary Investment and Investment Banking groups, focusing on real estate and financial institutions. Prior to JPMorgan, Mr. Chiaranussati worked at Temasek Holdings, an investment holding company for the Government of Singapore, and the Central Bank of Thailand. In 1998, Mr. Chiaranussati was appointed as an advisor by the Central Bank of Thailand and other bodies to assist in the restructuring of the public and private sectors of Thailand.
Mr. Chiaranussati received an Honors Degree in Economics from the London School of Economics in 1986 and a Master of Science in Management Science at the Imperial College in London in 1987.
Mr. Lien participates in acquisition, value enhancement and realization activities at SC Capital Partners with a special focus on Hospitality related investment opportunities throughout the region.
Prior to joining SC Capital Partners, Ian co-founded Octagon Capital Partners 2003 as an Asia Pacific focused hotel investment and advisory firm. Octagon offered end-to-end solutions for real-estate investment vehicles it originated in partnership with opportunity funds, private investors and/or Asian Corporate groups. Prior to founding Octagon, Ian was the Asia-head of Acquisitions & Development for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, Inc where he was responsible for managing and coordinating all aspects of growth and development for Starwood in the region, including acquisitions, joint ventures and contract growth. Ian led Starwood’s (and earlier Westin’s) growth in Asia for eight years at their headquarters in Tokyo and Singapore. During his tenure, Starwood outpaced growth of its competitors in a creativity led effort. This Included: Launch of three new brands to the region (St Regis, Four Points and W Hotels); mezzanine financings; acquisition of a public company; Joint Venture new build projects; Strategic alliances, JV operating companies and multiple management and license agreements across Asia / Pacific. As a prelude to heading growth activities for Westin/Starwood, Ian was responsible for Development Planning activities for Westin from 1989-1992.
Ian has a Bachelor of Science degree in Hotel Administration from Cornell University in 1988.
Mr. Chua is responsible for acquisition, value enhancement and realization of real estate investments in northern Asia including China and Hong Kong. Mr. Chua originally worked with SC Capital Partners from June 2006 to November 2007, and rejoined in September 2008.
Between November 2007 and September 2008, Mr. Chua was CEO and minority shareholder of Stonegate China Properties Limited, a Morgan Stanley affiliate. Prior to initially joining SC Capital Partners, Mr. Chua was a Board Member, Managing Director and Head of Investment Management of Rodamco Asia, which was listed on Euronext for nine years. Prior to Rodamco Asia, from 1988 to 1995, Mr. Chua worked with the real estate investment arm of GIC, where he was involved in investment and asset management activities in San Francisco, London and Hong Kong. From 1993 to 1995, Mr. Chua was head of Hong Kong and China investments at GIC. Prior to joining GIC, Mr. Chua held a variety of financial analysis, reporting and accounting positions with the Exxon/Esso Group for over seven years.
Mr. Chua was formerly an independent non-executive director and member of the audit committee of Travelsky Technology Ltd, a company listed on the stock exchange in Hong Kong.
Mr. Chua graduated with an Honors Degree in Accountancy from the University of Singapore.
Andrew Heithersay is a Managing Director, Partner and Investment Committee Member of SC Capital Partners Group, with investment responsibilities across Asia-Pacific.
Prior to joining SC Capital Partners in 2013, Mr. Heithersay held senior leadership positions with LaSalle Investment Management throughout his 20-year service with the Group. He was one of three founding members of LaSalle’s Asia-Pacific business and, most recently, International Director and Head of Acquisitions, Asia-Pacific (ex Japan). Earlier roles included Director of JLL Hotel’s valuation and advisory division in Sydney and Jakarta, followed by Director of Sandalwood Hotel Investment Company (a joint venture between LaSalle & Host Marriott Corporation).
Andrew earned an MBA from Macquarie University Graduate School of Management, a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investment from the Securities Institute of Australia and a Bachelor of Business in Property from the University of South Australia. He is also a Graduate of Australian Institute of Company Directors.
Andrew has lived in Asia since 1997 and resides in Singapore.
Mr. Aoki joined SC Capital Partners in 2010 and is involved in the acquisition, value enhancement and realization activities of real estate investments primarily in Japan.
Prior to joining SC Capital Partners he was a Director at Tokyo Venture Gear, providing real estate investment and M&A advisory in Japan. He was a Finance Director at Creative Renovation Group in Tokyo, which successfully led the Nippon Hotel Fund Investment Corporation to be listed at Tokyo Stock Exchange in June 2006 as a large shareholder of its asset management company, Japan Hotel REIT Advisors. Prior to Creative Renovation Group, Mr. Aoki was a Vice President at Ripplewood Lodging, the hotel investment sector at Ripplewood Holdings LLC in New York, mainly serving the turnaround of Phoenix Seagaia Resort, a large resort complex in Miyazaki Japan, after it filed a corporate rehabilitation in 2001. Prior to Ripplewood Lodging, Mr. Aoki was a corporate valuation analyst at Arthur Andersen in Tokyo after he completed post-acquisition management integration at Ingersoll-Rand when it acquired a company from Bosch in Tokyo. Before Mr. Aoki came back to Japan he was an internal auditor at Ingersoll-Rand Company in New Jersey after working as an auditor at Deloitte & Touche LLP in New York City.
Mr. Aoki received a Bachelor of Science in Commerce from the McIntire School of Commerce at the University of Virginia in the United States in 1993. He holds a United States Certified Public Accountant license issued in New York State and a real estate broker license in Japan.
Mr. Chan joined the firm in 2019 and is responsible for acquisition, asset management, value enhancement and realization activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Chan was at GIC Private Limited (“GIC”) where he amassed over 16 years of real estate investment management experience in Japan and China, investing across the real estate capital spectrum via debt and equity within multiple asset classes. At GIC, Mr. Chan held senior roles as Deputy Head of Real Estate in Japan, and Senior Vice President in both Tokyo and Shanghai.
Mr. Chan holds a Bachelor’s Degree in International Development Engineering (with a focus on Electrical Engineering) from the Tokyo Institute of Technology.
Ms. Chin joined the firm in 2018 as an Analyst with the Portfolio Management Team and is involved in various asset management, value enhancement and realization activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Chin spent two years in OCBC Bank as a Manager, responsible for providing financing for local and overseas residential real estate projects as well as business development activities. Her other experiences in OCBC Bank include managing external relations with real estate developers, agencies, valuation firms as well as completing the Graduate Management Training Program. The 1-year program consisted of rigorous training in secured lending and account management. In addition, she was heavily involved in the bank’s FinTech initiatives and spearheaded multiple digital initiatives that focus on the real estate industry.
Ms. Chin received a First Class Honours, Double Degree in Accountancy and Business Management from the Singapore Management University in 2015. She is also a CFA charter-holder.
Mr. Choo joined the firm in 2006 and is responsible for the finance, accounting and financial controlling functions.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Choo spent five years with Wilmar Singapore as Treasurer and was responsible for the treasury and financing activities of the group with companies located mostly in Asia. Prior to Wilmar Singapore, Mr. Choo spent five years with Asia Pulp & Paper as Corporate Finance Manager and was involved in financing, accounting and financial controls for subsidiaries in Asia and Europe. Prior to Asia Pulp & Paper, Mr. Choo worked with two Singapore-listed companies as an Internal Auditor and Financial Controller and was assigned positions in China and Vietnam. Mr. Choo began his career as an Auditor in KPMG Malaysia and then Deloitte & Touche Singapore.
Mr. Choo received a Bachelor of Commerce Degree from the University of Melbourne in 1989.
Mr. Er joined the firm in 2019 as an Analyst with the Portfolio Management Team and is involved in various acquisition, asset management, value enhancement and realization activities.
Prior to securing a full time position, Mr. Er undertook an internship programme with SC Capital Partner’s open-end, core-plus team. There, he conducted market research across the firm’s target markets and property sectors and assisted with underwriting tasks. In addition, Mr. Er also held an internship position at Schroders where he spearheaded a business strategy analysis of the wealth-tech sector.
Mr. Er graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2019 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (Hons.) (Highest Distinction).
Ms. Gan joined the firm in 2021 as an Investor Relations Analyst and is involved in marketing and fundraising activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gan undertook an internship with Elite Commercial REIT, where she assisted in the execution of the REIT’s maiden extraordinary general meeting (EGM) and the production of their first annual report. Ms. Gan had also previously undertaken internships with the Leasing team at CapitaLand Retail Management as well as the Auction & Sales team at Knight Frank.
Ms. Gan graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2021 with Bachelor of Science in Real Estate (Honors) (Distinction). She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Ms Gordon joined SC Capital Partners in 2016. She is General Counsel of SCORE+ and is responsible for managing SCORE+’s legal affairs including transactions and all general counsel activity for SCORE+.
Ms Gordon is a UK qualified lawyer, and prior to relocating to Singapore, worked for over 8 years in private practice in the UK. During this period, Ms Gordon specialized in commercial real estate transactions and advised on a full range of real estate matters including investment and development site and portfolio acquisitions and disposals, asset acquisition funding, corporate support work as well as a broad spectrum of landlord, tenant and asset management work on behalf of developers, institutional landlords, education institutions, family offices, funds and trusts.
Ms Gordon received her Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from Trinity College, Dublin in 2000. She completed the Legal Practice course at the College of Law, Nottingham and was admitted as a Solicitor in England and Wales in 2004.
Ms. Gu joined the firm in 2020 as an Associate with the Portfolio Management Team and is involved in various asset management, value enhancement and realization activities.
Ms. Gu has over seven years of real estate investing experience in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Gu spent five years at Franklin Templeton as an investment associate, responsible for due diligence, underwriting and sourcing of APAC Private Real Estate Funds (close and open-ended), co-investments and JV deals across various asset types including both traditional and niche asset classes. Her responsibilities also include portfolio management in excess of USD 800 million (equity), and giving hold/sell recommendations to achieve the maximum returns for investors. Prior to Franklin Templeton, Ms Gu spent two years as an Investment Executive at United Overseas Land (UOL) in Singapore, researching, analysing and modelling investments on residential development and commercial investment opportunities with a focus on Singapore and Greater China.
Ms. Gu graduated from University of Hong Kong with a Bachelors Degree in Economics and Finance. She is also a CFA Charterholder since 2017.
Ms. Hwang joined the firm in May 2015 and is involved in acquisition, asset management, value enhancement and realization activities of real estate investments in both the private and capital markets.
Prior to joining SC Capital Partners, Hwang Yu spent four years at Goldman Sachs, Singapore in the Asia Real Estate Investment Banking team. She was involved in all Asian real estate M&A and capital markets transactions, including some of the largest REIT IPOs in Singapore. Prior to Goldman Sachs, Ms. Hwang spent four years in DBS Bank in the M&A and Capital Markets Departments. There, she was involved in several listed company takeovers in Singapore, as well as REIT IPO transactions. Ms. Hwang started off her career as a Management Consultant at BDO Raffles. During that period of time, she was involved in SME fundraising and strategic business advisory.
Ms. Hwang received a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles in 2004.
Ms Hwangkuntham joined the firm in 2007 as an Executive Assistant to the Chairman. She now focuses on asset management, value enhancement and realization activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms Hwangkuntham spent two years at Kasikornbank Thailand as Senior Employee in Overseas Office Management and Correspondent Relations Department (China Project). She was responsible for organizing activities to create and enhance the investment opportunities for the customers, with an aim to increase bank’s business transaction volume.
Ms Hwangkuntham received an Honors Degree in Business Administration majoring in International Business Management from Assumption University, Thailand in 2002. She also graduated from Mahidol University, Thailand in 2008 with Master of Management in Innovation in Management.
Mr. Hennen joined the firm in 2013 with over 35 years of experience in real estate, including 19 years based in Asia. He is responsible for directing and managing development projects for the firm throughout the region.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Hennen led numerous high profile developments across the United States, Australia and most recently in Indonesia. Mr. Hennen’s management prowess extended across various sectors of real estate while with Agung Podomoro Land, one of Indonesia’s largest developers, and included direct involvement and responsibility for the planning, tendering and construction of the following projects: the 570,000 square foot Sofitel Bali Nusa Dua Beach Resort Hotel; the 8.5 million square foot Central Park mixed use development complex in West Jakarta; the 2.5 million square foot CBD Pluit mixed use development complex in North Jakarta; the Kamal Muara sport stadium that sits on 6.5 hectares of land in North Jakarta; the Peak at Sudirman, a 1.3 million square foot luxury apartment complex in Jakarta’s CBD; the Bandung Convention Center and Hotel; and the Apartemen Eksekutif Menteng in the exclusive Menteng district of Jakarta.
Mr. Hennen has partnered in several land development projects in Gold Coast, Australia as well as in San Francisco and Seattle. Substantial exposure to agriculture and silviculture compliment his land development background. Mr. Hennen is a trained civil engineer and started his career as a structural designer for San Francisco-based engineers Martin, Middlebrook & Nishkian. Mr. Hennen received a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Civil Engineering and Structures with a minor in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota in 1986.
Ms. Kaur joined the firm in 2020 as a Legal Counsel for RECAP and SCORE.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Kaur spent nearly a decade in various leading offshore law firms in Singapore and specialised in the establishment, structuring and maintenance of offshore private equity funds and hedge funds. She regularly advised a wide range of clients including, international financial institutions, onshore law firms, corporate investment banks and investment managers. In addition, Ms Kaur also provided general corporate advice on corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions and joint ventures as well as, specialising in banking and corporate finance transactions.
Ms. Kaur received her Masters of Commercial Law from the University of Law and graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) Degree from the University of London.
Mr. Lane joined the firm in 2009 and is involved in the acquisition, value enhancement and realization activities of real estate investments primarily in the Greater China region.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lane worked for four years as an Asset Manager at Morgan Stanley Real Estate Fund (“MSREF”) in Shanghai where he was responsible for managing approximately $500 million in real estate equity investments, including office, retail, residential, hotel, and operating company platforms. From 2004 to 2005, Mr. Lane was a Partner and co-founder of Pangu Investments, a real estate investment fund focused on China investments, as well as a Research Analyst at Cushman & Wakefield. Mr. Lane started his career at Merrill Lynch working as an Associate Financial Advisor from 2001 to 2003 for a high-net worth wealth management group, managing $500 million in investable assets.
Mr. Lane graduated from Pomona College in Claremont, California with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and a Minor in Economics. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Mr. Lee joined the firm in 2012 and is involved in executing and asset-managing projects in the commercial, retail, residential and hospitality sectors across South-east Asia and Australia.
Prior to joining SC Capital, Mr. Lee spent two years at APN Funds Management in Singapore (joint venture with ARA Asset Management), serving as fund analyst. He was in charge of research and trading for the fund where he covered listed Asian REITs and developers. The fund which he worked for was nominated for best emerging manager/smaller fund in the annual AsiaHedge awards 2012 organised by Euromoney. The fund was also nominated for best long term performance in the HFMWeek Asia Performance Awards 2012. Prior to joining APN Funds Management, Jing Yang worked at KPMG Corporate Finance, serving as Management Associate in the infrastructure project advisory, financial modelling and valuation departments.
Mr. Lee received a Double Honors Degree in Accountancy and Honors Degree in Business Management majoring in Finance from the Singapore Management University in 2009.
Ms. Leong joined SCORE+ in 2020 and performs asset management, value enhancement and acquisition activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Leong spent three years in UOL Group as an Investment Executive where she was responsible for assessing investment and development opportunities for residential and commercial assets in Singapore and Australia. There, her work included providing market research, creating and maintaining financial models, and conducting acquisition due diligence.
Ms. Leong graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Real Estate.
Mr. Lew joined the firm in 2019 as an Analyst with the Portfolio Management Team and is involved in investments, asset management, value enhancement and realization processes.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lew undertook an internship with Citi Investment Banking Division where he worked alongside the Real Estate team on the divestment of a Grade A Singapore office asset. Prior to Citi, Mr Lew also interned at Navis Capital Partners (Private Equity) and OCBC Bank’s Principal Mezzanine Investment team.
Mr. Lew graduated from Singapore Management University in 2019 with a Bachelor of Accountancy.
Mr. Lim joined the firm in 2017 and is involved in various asset management, value enhancement and realization activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Lim spent three years in Deloitte Real Estate (London) as a Senior Associate, responsible for providing real estate development consultancy as well as valuation advisory services for a number of high profile institutional clients. At Deloitte, his work included creating bespoke financial models for complex joint venture structures, multi-phase development appraisals, value optimization, strategic and master-planning, and financial viability testing.
Mr. Lim received his Master of Science in International Real Estate & Planning from the University of London in 2014 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience from King’s College of London in 2013.
Ms. Loh joined the firm in 2019 as an Analyst with the Portfolio Management Team and is involved in various asset management, value enhancement and realization activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Loh undertook an internship with Fife Capital Singapore where she was responsible for in-depth research into the logistics markets across Asia Pacific, as well as the preparation of fund raising materials. Prior to Fife Capital, Ms. Loh had also undertaken internships with Chongbang Group’s Asset Management team in Shanghai and Keppel Capital’s Research and Investment teams.
Ms. Loh is a double degree holder with Bachelors in Real Estate and Business Administration (Majoring in Finance) from the National University of Singapore.
Mr. Mak joined the firm in March 2016 and performs acquisition, asset management, value enhancement and realization activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Mak worked at ARA Asset Management (Prosperity) Limited since 2010 as an Assistant Manager, Investments & Research responsible for conducting market research and feasibility studies, performing financial due diligence and analysis, and participating in financial models for potential acquisition target. He was also responsible for performing financial analysis for asset enhancement projects, thereby providing financial analysis support for budgeting rental projection and leasing strategy.
Mr. Mak graduated from York University of Canada with a Bachelor of Arts with Honors in Economics.
Ms. Massey joined the firm in 2018 with over 17 years of experience in the real estate industry, primarily focused on the transactional side of the business. She is the deputy fund manager of the SCORE+ fund and is involved in the acquisition, asset management, value enhancement, realization activities, and the operations of the Fund.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Massey was Regional Director of Acquisitions at LaSalle Investment Management in Sydney, Australia, where she was responsible for driving and managing transactions. In this position, Ms. Massey played a lead role in the acquisition of 15 assets across 10 transactions in the retail, commercial and industrial sectors over the core, core plus and opportunistic risk spectrums, and was also responsible for steering the divestment program for LaSalle’s core plus fund. Prior to LaSalle Investment Management, Ms. Massey held a senior position at Lend Lease Investment Management (Australia), where she played a key role in the company’s transactional activities across the retail and commercial sectors. Ms. Massey is also a registered valuer who started her career at Savills, and subsequently, Colliers International.
Ms. Massey holds a Bachelors’ Degree in Land Economics from the University of Technology in Sydney.
Ms. Ramchandani joined the firm in 2019 with over 18 years of experience, including 14 in real estate, primarily focused on fund management in Asia. She is the fund manager of the SCORE+ fund and is responsible for the acquisition, asset management, value enhancement, realization activities, and the operations of the Fund.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Ramchandani worked at Lendlease Asia from 2011-2018 as the Managing Director and Head of Investment Management in Asia. In her previous role, she was responsible for driving performance across Lendlease’s $6 billion funds’ platform with a multi-disciplinary investment management team of over 20 employees covering fund management, investment and asset management, and legal and finance. As part of the senior management team, she was responsible for evaluating new opportunities to grow the investment management platform. In addition to this, Ms. Ramchandani was a member of several company-wide steering committees involving strategic decision making for projects under development and new business improvement initiatives. Prior to her appointment to Head of Investment Management, Ms. Ramchandani was the Fund Manager of two unlisted real estate funds in Lendlease Asia. In this role she was responsible for all aspects of fund management, including fund establishment and structuring, fund performance, budgetary control, implementing initiatives to maximize returns and portfolio divestment. Prior to joining Lendlease Asia, Ms. Ramchandani was a Fund Manager with ING Real Estate Select from 2007 – 2011 , where she was responsible for investing and managing third party capital in real estate funds across a range of investment strategies in the Asia Pacific region.
Ms. Ramchandani holds a Master of Arts and Bachelor of Arts (Honors in Economics) from Peterhouse, Cambridge University.
Mr Sia joined the firm in 2016 and oversees the regulatory and compliance function of the firm.
Prior to joining the firm, he was working with Point72 Asia (Singapore) as Country Manager and Compliance Officer from 2012 to 2015 overseeing the Singapore office and compliance matters relating to its fund management business. Prior to Point72 Singapore, Mr Sia was a Compliance Officer at Tantallon Capital Advisors from 2007 to 2012, overseeing compliance matters in relation to its hedge fund business. Mr Sia began his career as an auditor at PwC Singapore.
Mr Sia received a Bachelor of Accountancy Degree from Nanyang Technological University in 2004.
Ms. Soo joined the firm in 2020 as an Investor Relations Analyst and is involved in marketing and fund raising activities.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Soo was a full-time lawyer and more recently, an Assistant Manager at the Law Society Pro Bono Services, focused on compliance and fundraising for key initiatives.
Ms. Soo received a Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from the National University of Singapore in 2014 and was admitted to the Singapore Bar in 2015. She is fluent in English and Mandarin.
Ms. Chau Ta joined SC Capital Partners as a Legal Counsel – Transactions in 2012.
Prior to joining SC Capital Partners, Ms. Chau Ta has had over 11 years of professional experience in real estate legal matters. After 4 years of practice in Sydney, Australia as a solicitor advising clients on real estate-related matters, Ms Chau relocated to Vietnam where she worked with one of the country’s largest international law firms on property law. From there, Ms Chau served as Vice President for Legal Affairs for a London Stock Exchange listed property fund investing in Vietnam and Cambodia. Just prior to joining Recap, Ms Chau headed the Real Estate Practice Group of DFDL Vietnam , the first leading international law firm specializing in emerging markets with Pan-Asia legal and tax expertise. Ms Chau has extensive experience on real estate investment (re) structuring, real estate licensing, green field investment, construction and zoning and other related issues.
Ms. Ta received her Masters of International Law (Honors) jointly from University of Sydney, Sydney Australia in 2008. She also graduated with a Bachelor of Arts (majoring in Japanese and Government) and Bachelor of Laws (Honors) from University of Sydney, Sydney Australia in 2002. She is a qualified Australian lawyer with unique Asia and Vietnam law experience on real estate matters.
Mr. Tan joined the firm in 2018 and is involved in various acquisition, asset management, value enhancement and realization activities of the firm.
Mr. Tan originally worked with SC Capital from May 2013 to February 2017 and re-joined in April 2018. Between March 2017 and March 2018, Tan was the Vice-President of the Global Real Estate platform at CreditEase Asset Management and led the formation of the co-investment platform which successfully made two office investments in Hong Kong. During his tenure in SC Capital, he successfully executed and asset-managed five transactions in the residential and commercial sectors in Australia with a total transaction value in excess of US$500 million. Prior to SC Capital, Tan spent two years at LaSalle Investment Management, serving as an Acquisition Analyst. He was responsible for deals in all real estate asset types across Southeast Asia and was part of the regional hotel specialist team for Asia Pacific.
Mr. Tan received an Honours Degree in Business Administration majoring in Finance from the National University of Singapore in 2010. He is also a CFA charter-holder.
Mr. Tan joined the firm in 2018 as a Director with the Development Team. He is responsible for directing and managing development projects for the firm throughout the region.
Mr. Tan has 20 years of real estate development experience, covering various asset classes such as residential, hotel, commercial office, retail and industrial in the Asia Pacific Region. Prior to joining the firm, he was the Director of Projects for World Class Global Ltd, involved in real estate developments in the Asia Pacific Region. Some of the notable projects which he was responsible for were the 55-storey Avant residential tower in Melbourne, two 91-storey towers at 30 Albert Street and 240 Margaret Street in Brisbane as well as the 1,100-residential unit mixed use development in Cairns, Australia. From 2008 to 2012, Mr. Tan worked at Pramerica Real Estate Investors as Vice President of Project Development. There, he was responsible for the development and enhancement of projects in the region.
Mr. Tan received his Bachelor of Architecture and Bachelor of the Arts (Architectural Studies) from the National University of Singapore in 1998.
Mr. Tan joined the firm in 2018 and is responsible for asset management, value enhancement and acquisition activities for the SCORE+ fund.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Tan spent two years with Wing Tai Holdings Group as a Senior Investment Manager under the Investment & Development team, responsible for direct investments into new markets in Australia and Japan. Prior to his appointment as Senior Investment Manager, Mr. Tan was Head of Asset Management of Wing Tai’s fund management arm, WT Fund Management. During his time at Wing Tai, he led the acquisitions and asset management initiatives of two data centres and an office joint-venture property in Australia. Before joining Wing Tai, Mr. Tan was the Head of Asset Management at SEB Asset Management (which was later re-branded as Savills Investment Management) where he managed a portfolio of Australia, Japan, Singapore and China-based properties. Prior to joining SEB Asset Management in 2013, Mr. Tan was with GIC Real Estate for approximately seven years. During his tenure at GIC, he was responsible for several real estate portfolios, which included Australian office buildings, serviced apartments in Tokyo, and a mixed-use portfolio in Hong Kong. He was also actively involved in the privatization of the ASX‐listed Charter Hall Office REIT, which was valued in excess of $1 billion.
Mr. Tan holds a Master of Science in Investment Management and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Science from the Cass Business School.
Mr. van Beek joined the firm in 2020 as Head of Investor Relations and is in charge of investor relations, marketing and fundraising activities.
Mr. van Beek has over 14 years of private real estate fundraising experience in Asia Pacific. Prior to joining the firm, he worked for MaxCap Group, an Australian & New Zealand real estate credit manager. Based in Sydney, Mr. van Beek was responsible for global institutional capital raising for the group’s various real estate debt strategies.
From 2015-2018, Mr. van Beek was Executive Director, Business Development Asia Pacific, Real Estate & Private Markets at UBS Asset Management. Based in Singapore, his main focus was on marketing the firm’s global real estate strategies to institutional investors in Asia Pacific.
Between 2010-2015, Mr. van Beek worked for Aberdeen Asset Management-Real Estate in Singapore & Hong Kong and CBRE-Real Estate Finance Asia in Hong Kong. He started his career with Colliers International in Hong Kong (2004-2010).
Mr. van Beek received a Master of Laws (LL.M.) degree from the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). He is fluent in English, Dutch and Afrikaans.
Ms. Verma joined the firm in 2007 and is responsible for all general counsel activity.
Prior to joining the firm, Ms. Verma was General Counsel for Swire Pacific Offshore and was responsible for legal issues relating to all its offices globally. From 2004 to 2005, Ms. Verma was the Director of Compliance at Barclays Capital in Singapore and was responsible for compliance of all businesses of the bank in Singapore and Indonesia. From 2001 to 2004, Ms. Verma was legal counsel for Teletech Customer Management and a consultant for Compliance Asia. Ms. Verma was the Vice President and Assistant General Counsel for JPMorgan in Singapore, responsible for the firm´s asset management services between 1994 and 2001.
Ms. Verma received her Bachelor of Arts from Oxford University in 1986, graduating in upper second class honors in Jurisprudence. She is admitted as a Barrister in the following jurisdictions: England and Wales, Singapore, and New South Wales, Australia.
Ms. Zhao joined SC Capital Partners in 2011 and is involved in various acquisition, asset management, value enhancement and realization activities of the firm.
Prior to joining SC Capital Partners, Ms. Zhao spent four years in infrastructure investments in Asia, from being an advisor in KPMG’s Global Infrastructure and Project Advisory team to being an active member of the principal investment team of Babcock & Brown and John Laing Investments. During that period of time, she built a solid foundation in constructing cash flow models and evaluating investment returns. She was also involved in developing deal structures, preparing investment committee papers and negotiating with lenders for project financing.
Ms. Zhao received her Master of Management in Hospitality degree jointly from Cornell University and Nanyang Technological University. She also graduated with a Bachelor in Accountancy (First Class Honors) degree from Nanyang Technological University, Singapore in 2005. In addition, Ms. Zhao is a CFA charter holder.
